Veteran WR Terry Holt Sign with the New England Patriots
Terry Holt, a 12-year veteran wide receiver, has agreed to sign with the New England Patriots for a one-year deal that totals $1.7 million.
Last season, 33-year-old Holt was with the Jaguars where he had 51 inceptions with a total of 722 yards. In his season with the Rams, he did not find himself recording a touchdown. The first eleven seasons of his football career, he was with the St. Louis Rams where he had an average of about 87 catches for each season. He was with the Rams when he lost to his newfound team, the Patriots, at the Super Bowl XXVI.
Holt will find himself joining an elite quarterback, Tom Brady, which is something that he has apparently been wanting as he provided this information to NFL.com just last month. In addition, by joining New England, he will add depth to his position and join with Randy Moss in taking care of the teams’ quarterback.
This year, Holt in his New England Patriots jersey, will enter into his 13th NFL career season.
