Argentina and Nigeria Preliminary Rosters for the 2010 World Cup

The rosters are here for all 32 of the World Cup Teams.  Below you will find the preliminary rosters for Argentina and Nigeria, which will be dwindled down to a total of 23 men on June 1.

The two teams will compete on June 12 in South Africa.  Let’s take a look at both team’s rosters.

Argentina goalkeepers include Diego Pozo from Colon, Mariano Andujar from Catania and Sergio Romero from AZ Alkmaar.

Forwards are Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli, Martin Palermo from Boca Juniors, Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid, Diego Milito from Inter Milan, Carlos Tevez from Manchester City, Gonzalo Higuain from Real Madrid and Lionel Messi from Barcelona.

Defenders for Argentina are Clemente Rodriguez from Estudiantes, Juan Insaurralde from Newell’s Old Boys, Ariel Garce from Colon, Fabricio Coloccini from Newcastle, Nicolas Burdisso from AS Roma, Gabriel Heinze from Marseille, Walter Samuel from Inter Milan, Martin Demichelis from Bayern Munich and Nicolas Otamendi from Velez Sarsfield.

Argentina midfielders include Mario Bolatti from Fiorentina, Jesus Datolo from Olimpiakos, Juan Mercier from Argentinos, Maxi Rodriguez from Liverpool, Sebastian Blanco from Lanus, Javier Pastore from Palermo, Angel Di Maria from Benfica, Javier Mascherano from Liverpool, Jose Sosa from Estudiantes, Juan Sebastian Veron from Estudiantes and Jonas Gutierrez from Newcastle.

Now, for the 30 men that are in the preliminary Nigeria roster.

Goalkeepers for Nigeria are Austine Ejide from Hapoel Petah Tikva, Bassey Akpan from Bayelsa United, Dele Ayenugba from Beni Yehuda FC and Vincent Enyeama from Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Forwards include Victor Obinna from Malaga, Peter Utaka from OB Odense, John Utaka from Portsmouth, Ikechukwu Uche from Zaragoza, Ideye Brown from Sochaux, Obafemi Martins from Wolfsburg, Nwankwo Kanu from Portsmouth, Chinedu Obasi from Hoffenheim, Victor Anichebe from Everton and Yakubu Ayegbeni from Everton.

Defenders for Nigeria include Peter Suswan from Lobi Stars, Rabiu Afolabi from Salzburg, Ayodele Adeleye from Sparta Rotterdam, Daniel Shittu from Bolton, Joseph Yobo from Everton, Onyekachi Apam from Nice, Chidi Odiah from CSKA Moscow, Elderson Echiejile from Rennes and Taye Taiwo from Marseille.

Nigeria midfielders are Peter Osaze from Lokomotiv Moscow, Ayila Yussuf from Dynamo Kiev, Lukman Haruna from Monaco, Sani Kaita from Alaniya, John Obi Mikel from Chelsea, Dickson Etuhu from Fulham and Kalu Uche from Almeria.
