2010 Samsung Mobile 500 NASCAR Betting Odds – Stewart on the Pole
At the end of Friday’s qualifying at Texas Motor Speedway, Tony Stewart claimed the pole for Sunday’s race. However, Jimmie Johnson remains the favorite to claim the win, but Tony is second in line with Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch following respectively.
Johnson is fourth in the lineup for Sunday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway where he claimed a second place finish in the 2008 race as well as 2009. He has a single win in his career at Texas Motor Speedway; however, it is not for this specific event. He is the current points leader with Top nine finishes in five of the past six races he has participated in, including three wins.
Stewart, owner and driver of Stewart-Haas Racing, holds the top driver rating at Texas Motor Speedway in the series. He holds one win at this track and currently sits in ninth position in the point standings. He sits on the pole for this race, which is the first since Martinsville in 2005. The pole win has also spiked his odds of winning the race.
Gordon claimed his very first Texas Motor Speedway victory in last year’s race. In the past two races that Gordon has participated in, he has claimed a Top three finish. He currently holds fifth position in the season’s points standings and will find himself rolling off in 12th position.
Although Kyle Busch has never claimed a victory at Texas Motor Speedway, he is runner-up to win this event. He placed eight in last week’s race, which makes him have two Top 10 finishes this season. He will find himself starting from seventh position on Sunday.
Ryan Newman, last week’s winner at Phoenix, starts in 10th position in Sunday’s race but doesn’t necessarily find himself as a top winner for sports bettors. This may likely change if he can pull off another win, though.
The Samsung Mobile 500 is to be held Sunday, April 18, at Texas Motor Speedway provided that the rain holds out since it is in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.
